Our standard
We build this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the standard published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). In the US, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) expects businesses that serve the public to be accessible to people with disabilities, and WCAG 2.2 AA is how we hold ourselves to that online.
We test our own pages against that standard and fix what we find. The booking calendar comes from Cal.com, and we can’t test or change everything inside it, so for now we describe founderwell.com as partially conformant.
What we’ve done
- Every page has a clear heading structure and labeled regions, and a “Skip to content” link takes you straight to the main content.
- Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline on anything you can tab to. On phones, the menu closes with Escape and puts you back on the Menu button.
- Text colors meet WCAG contrast ratios, including on our dark backgrounds.
- Meaningful images have text alternatives. Decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers, and our diagrams and animated illustrations are described in words.
- Nothing moves without a way to stop it. The drifting sea lines and the rotating word on the home page have a “Pause motion” button, and your choice is remembered on your device. If your device asks for reduced motion, they never move at all.
- Form fields have visible labels. When something’s missing, the error is announced, tied to its field, and your cursor moves to the first field that needs attention.
- Switches like monthly or annual billing tell assistive technology which option is selected.
- When the booking calendar opens over a page, your focus moves into it, Escape closes it, and you land back where you were.
- Pages reflow down to 320 pixels wide without sideways scrolling, so you can zoom in as far as you need.
- Buttons and links are big enough to tap, at least 24 by 24 pixels or spaced apart.
We don’t use an accessibility overlay widget. Overlays can clash with the assistive technology people already rely on, so we build accessibility into the site itself.
How we test
Every page gets automated checks with axe-core at desktop and phone sizes, plus hands-on testing: keyboard only, color contrast, zoom and reflow, and reduced motion. We repeat it when pages change. Our last full review was on October 27, 2026.
We haven’t had an independent audit yet, and we haven’t tested with screen reader users. Both are on our list.
Known limits
- Booking calendar. The calendar on our contact page and in the booking pop-up is run by Cal.com. If it doesn’t work for you, email us and we’ll find a time with you directly.
- Member platform. The member platform at app.founderwell.com is a separate service and isn’t covered by this review. Its library of session recordings, around 400 hours, has high-quality captions throughout. If something there is hard to use, or you need a recording in another format, tell us.
- Other people’s documents. Our statistics and comparison pages link to research reports and websites we don’t control. If you can’t read one, we’ll help you find the information.
Tell us about a barrier
Email hello@founderwell.com. It helps to know the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you use, but send whatever you have. We reply within two business days.
You don’t have to wait for a fix to get what you came for. By email we can take your invite request, book an intro call, or send you anything on this site in another format.
